My professional career began as a Legal Secretary, until I married Jerry and we began our family.
With two young children tow, we moved from Salem, Massachusetts, to Lebanon, Maine, to provide our
family with "a better way of life". As the children grew (and more came along), I became involved with
school, sports and dance classes. Eventually I began writing for Foster's Daily Democrat and
the Sanford News as the Lebanon Correspondent, which I continued for several years before
going to work full time at the local newspaper.
Eventually, and with the encouragement of my husband, the shop officially opened its doors on
Sept. 15, 2004. It has continued to grow and expand steadily ever since. I have been fortunate to be
a student in many of the classes offered at the shop by the experienced teachers who assist me here.
I have participated in many herbal training events including herbal tinctures and extracts.
With their encouragement and help, I offer private ear candling sessions; Shamballa and Reiki
Energy Healing; and Psychic Intuitive Card Readings (since 2002). I am a Reiki Master and
Practitioner (2007); and a Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healer, receiving certification from Holly
Brown, Certified Master Teacher, and the Shamballa School of Esoteric Sciences (2006). Certification of
Ear Candling was received by C. Bashaw, RN and Senior Herbalist. In 2009, I was ordained as a minister of the Universal Light
Church and was included as a contributor in the new book "Out of the Broom Closet: 50 True Stories of Witches Who Found and
Embraced the Craft". Our home has also been included in the book "Haunted York County: Mystery and Lore from Maine's Oldest
Towns" by Roxie J. Zwicker.
