Crescent Moon Herbals is honored to assist in fund-raising efforts for these wonderful beauties located here in Maine.
Tanya, Michael and I visited the "Runs With Wolves Sanctuary" on Monday, Aug. 31st. Brenda Foster (aka Runs with
Wolves, her Native name) was kind enough to welcome us into this heavenly sanctuary with open arms. Her kindness
with us the story of each wolf (and wolf hybrids) in her care. It was hard to absorb all the information, as these wolves
literally "took our breath away".
At the end of our tour, Brenda brought out her hand-carved flute and began playing the Wolves' Song. Immediately, the
timid wolf came out, the pensive one calmed down and they all started singing with the playing of the music. I can't even
explain how amazing this was -- from feelings of overwhelming Divine greatness to sadness that these amazing
creatures were not running free in the wild, as they were meant to do. Although my thoughts were to take a picture of
Brenda while playing the flute, with the wolves in the background, I could not lift the camera to do so. This was truly a
gift from Spirit and sacred to us all.
Unfortunately, what also came to light was the plight of the financial stresses with which the Sanctuary is struggling. It is
my hope that each of you will see these pictures and open up your hearts and purses to help support the Sanctuary.
Although financial donations (which are tax deductible) are welcome, the sanctuary is also in need of people to assist
with the maintenance of the property & wolves, and there is quite a long list of items that are also needed. This list
includes: Food, Fencing & Building Materials, Tools & Equipment, Office Supplies, Volunteers, Professional Services,

Please don't forget...when cleaning out your freezers in preparation of hunting season, should you have any frozen raw
meats (beef, deer, moose, bear, etc.) that you will not use, please call the sanctuary.
